NYC Financial Literacy Workshops: Improve Your Credit Score, Decrease Debt & Save More Money

This week, Diamond NestEgg held two successful NYC financial literacy workshops on the topics of improving your credit score, reducing debt & saving more money.

Diamond NestEgg CEO Jennifer Lammer was back at it again this week to host two financial literacy workshops in NYC for people who are ready to improve their financial health in 2020.

The workshops, part of an ongoing Financial Workshop Series, typically cover basic personal finance subjects such as kicking spending habits, paying off debt & student loans, how to improve your credit score and more. The workshops are attended by people of all ages & financial backgrounds, and consist of real-life learnings for attendees to listen, take notes & ask questions.

This week’s financial workshops were around the topics of improving your credit score, paying off debt & saving more money.

On Tuesday night, Jennifer spoke about what it takes to finally make a dent in stubborn debt that won’t budge. She showed the audience the importance of improving one’s credit score, why it matters, and how much money having a higher credit score actually saves in the long run on interest charges for big purchases.

On Wednesday, Jennifer tackled the all-encompassing topic of how to just save more money in our always popular Savings Bootcamp. No matter your current income or financial situation, it is possible to start setting aside money slowly to secure a better financial future. Step-by-step, Jennifer walks you through how to setup a budget, find existing savings, and start building your nest egg without excuses.

The Financial Literacy Workshops are held every week at New York Open Center in NYC. You can find a list of next week’s events here.

We invite everyone to come along and join us as we tackle the finance industry’s most confusing & complex questions.

If you are not based in NYC but would still like to learn and participate, please reach out to schedule a quick chat with us here. We can help point you in the right direction.

Until next week!
