Last week, Diamond NestEgg held two successful NYC based financial workshops on brand new topics: Buying Your first home & How to Become Financially Fit.
Each week, Diamond NestEgg CEO Jennifer Lammer hosts two hour long workshops for New York based residents to grasp a better understanding of a particular financial topic. The workshops, part of an ongoing Sip & Save Financial Workshop Series, typically cover basic personal finance subjects such as kicking spending habits, paying off debt & student loans, how to improve your credit score and more. The workshops are attended by people of all ages & financial backgrounds, and consist of real-life learnings for attendees to listen, take notes & ask questions.
Last week’s Sip & Save Financial Workshops were around the topics of buying your first home and how to become more #financiallyfit.
On Tuesday night, Jennifer spoke about what it takes to become more financially healthy. She showed the audience the importance of having an emergency fund, how to put the right savings habits in place, and what they need to think about in terms of finances long-term.
She shared with them this financial calculator which you can use yourself to find your financial fit score, and what steps you need to take to improve.
On Wednesday, Jennifer pulled the curtain back on the overwhelming process of buying your first home. She broke down everything from loan term variations, to paying points, mortgage applications, & more. She went step-by-step through who you need to get involved, at which point, what research needs to be done, and how much you can actually afford when it comes to taking out your first mortgage.
